The Name
A cicada spends years underground, quiet and unseen, before it emerges — transformed, and impossible to ignore. That's the feeling we wanted to build a brand around: the moment a woman steps out in something that finally feels right, and everything shifts into focus.
Where It Started
Cicadias began with a frustration a lot of women share — closets full of clothes, and still nothing to wear. Trends moving faster than wardrobes could keep up, quality getting harder to find, and "fashion" starting to feel like noise instead of self-expression. We wanted to slow that down. To build a place where every piece earns its spot in your closet, instead of just filling space in it.
What We Believe
We think getting dressed should be one of the easiest parts of your day, not the hardest. So we design and select clothing and accessories around three things: fit that actually flatters, fabric that lasts past one wash, and details that make a simple outfit feel considered. No filler pieces, no gimmicks — just a wardrobe you reach for without thinking twice.
Where We're Going
Cicadias is still young, still growing, and still listening — to every message, every review, every "I wish this came in..." from our community. Every collection we release carries a little of that feedback forward. We're not trying to be everything to everyone; we're trying to become the brand that quietly earns its place in your rotation, season after season.
